Certainly, he is among the best batsman the sport has ever seen. In 2010, Virat Kohli faced Zimbabwe in his maiden T20 international appearance. With 319 runs in 6 games, Virat amassed the most runs during the 2014 T20 World Cup.

Martin Guptill

In the shortest format of the game, Martin Guptill has managed to gather 3497 runs in 121 games, placing him third all-time. He is renowned for his sophisticated yet aggressive style of play. In 2009 vs Australia, Guptill made his debut in the T20 format. He played with a healthy strike rate of 135.71.

Paul Stirling

Paul Stirling, an Irish batsman, is placed fourth. His career has extended 12 years as of 2021. (2009-2022). He played Pakistan in his first T20 international match in 2009. Stirling has scored 3011 runs in 114 games with a strike rate of 134.37.

Aaron Finch

In terms of total T20 runs scored, Australia’s current white-ball skipper Aaron Finch comes in sixth. He is the second Australian on the list. Finch is a great white-ball cricketer for Australia. In 2011, Finch participated in his first T20 game against England. He is second among the top 10 T20 players in terms of runs scored and strike rate. With a strike rate of 145.29 and 2855 runs scored in 92 games, Finch holds the greatest total.

Babar Azam

The list now includes Babar Azam, one of the best batsmen of the current age. Azam’s skill and style allow him to outperform bowlers from all over the world. With an exceptional average of 42.36, the Pakistani star has scored 2754 runs in 80 games. The game always continues as long as Azam is on the field.

David Warner

David Warner is the seventh-highest run scorer in T20 cricket history. With 2684 runs in 91 games,  He is currently among the finest openers in the world. In 2009, against South Africa, Warner participated in his debut T20 international match. Warner has been playing for 11 years, and his outstanding batting has earned him a spot in the world’s largest franchise T20 league (IPL).

Mohammad Hafeez

In T20 cricket, Mohammad Hafeez has scored 2514 runs, placing him eighth all-time. Hafeez has consistently displayed incredible talent. He started playing 20-over cricket in 2006. The senior has scored 2514 runs in 108 innings and taken 60 wickets. Hafeez was a member of the Pakistani team that triumphed at Lord’s in the 2009 T20 World Cup.

Eoin Morgan 

Eoin Morgan, the former captain of England, also made the list with 2458 runs in 115 games. Since making his debut in 2009 against the Netherlands, the English captain has been playing for 11 years and is renowned for his heavy hitting. His 136.17 strike rate speaks something about his batting.

Shoaib Malik

Shoaib Malik moves up to ninth place on the list of T20I cricket players with the most runs scored (2435 runs). He has been one of Pakistan’s key contributors to the format. Malik played his first T20 match against England in 2006. He represented Pakistan in T20 cricket for 14 years, from 2006 to 2020. Malik scored 144 runs in 7 games to help Pakistan win in 2009.
